Overview
FibaFuse is a paper-tape alternative made from a porous mat of glass fibers. Instead of a solid paper face, the mat is open enough for joint compound to pass through it, so the compound bonds tape and wallboard together into one layer. ADFORS reports the resulting joint is 76% stronger than one taped with paper, and the lack of a paper layer removes the usual causes of blisters and bubbles.
The tape is applied like paper tape, bedded in compound by hand or with automatic tools, and it folds cleanly for inside corners. Because it contains no paper it does not feed mold, which makes it a fit for mold-resistant and paperless drywall systems and for humid areas. FDW9101-U is the 2-1/16 in. x 250 ft. roll packed 20 to a case; the same roll is sold as FDW8652-U in cases of 10.

For tapered seams, butt joints, inside corners and repairs on standard, mold-resistant or paperless drywall; suitable for high-humidity areas. Must be embedded in joint compound (not self-adhesive). Works with any compound; ADFORS recommends heavy-weight all-purpose ready-mix, and setting-type or taping compounds also work. Avoid lightweight compounds for embedding. Compatible with automatic taping tools.
